Trevor Guthmiller is Bethany's Director of Development
Trevor is Bethany's Director of Development, and he also serves as the Director of the Bethany Lutheran Foundation. Trevor assists with donations to Bethany and leads the planning for Bethany's primary fundraising events, including the Bethany Golf Tournament and the Bethany Foundation Dinner. Work Experience at Bethany
Trevor joined Bethany in April 2008 and has found it immensely interesting getting to know the staff and residents at both of Bethany's facilities. He has helped with the planning of numerous events and activities, including starting the "Bethany University" program at Bethany Meadows in Brandon. Trevor helps process donations of all types, including in-kind and monetary donations. In addition to his development work, Guthmiller assists Bethany with its website development and with social networking (check us out on Facebook!). Guthmiller periodically writes stories for the Brandon newspaper highlighting residents and staff at Bethany Meadows.
Work Experience Prior to Bethany
Trevor has worked in a variety of interesting positions, including in development for the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science and in development and marketing for the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum of Natural History. Prior to that, Guthmiller was the executive director of a trade association for the ethanol industry for 10 years.
Education and Accomplishments
Trevor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication from the University of South Dakota. He has a minor in English and has done quite a bit of writing through the years. Guthmiller is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has served on the executive committee for the state chapter of that organization.
Trevor and his wife have two children and love to participate in their sports and activities. In addtion, Trevor and his wife volunteer with many local organizations, including helping to plan local basketball events. Trevor is also president of the Brandon Valley Baseball Association and tries to do as much as he can to support youth sports. Trevor and his family like to travel, when they have time, including visiting his parents in Arizona during the winter. Trevor and his family are also involved with their church.
